Westmount is committed to developing leaders within our school, and the Leader in Me program is a means by which this can be accomplished. It serves as a overarching framework that allows students to both learn about, and practice, leadership. At Westmount, we believe that each student has the potential to grow and develop as both a learner and a person. The knowledge, skills and attitudes infused within the Leader in Me program directly align themselves with the vision statement of Foothills School Division. The goal of working through the Seven Habits, and the Leader in Me program, is ultimately to create responsible, independent, confident, respectful, flexible, open-minded, organized, synergistic and creative students, who can demonstrate these qualities in their school and community.
