Habit 1: Be Proactive
You're in Charge
Proactive people take responsibility for their choices and understand that they have the ability to choose their own response to a situation. To be proactive is to believe that everything we do is a choice and so we are responsible for what we say and do. In other words, no one can make or force me to do anything. Proactive people carry their own weather! They can choose to be happy and positive or to be negative and cloudy. Proactive people live with the 4 R's in mind: showing respect for ourselves, for others, for property and taking responsibility for our actions.
This is why it is important to be proactive.
